Launching Six New Booklets for Junior Tibetan Readers
On July 6, 2023, the Tibetan Translation & Research Institute celebrated a significant milestone by launching six new publications of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s works. The event took place in Bylakuppe during His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Birthday and was graced by the esteemed presence of the Abbot of Tashi Lhunpo Monastery. Prominent figures, including Tibetan settlement officers and representatives from the Karnataka government of India, also attended. Our voluntary staff from all over the world celebrated His Holiness’s birthday by launching our translations.
This launch marks a pivotal moment in our ongoing mission to bring the profound teachings of His Holiness to the Tibetan-speaking community, enhancing their spiritual and intellectual engagement with these valuable texts. The six new booklets—Be Happy, Be Fair, Be Altruistic, Be Brave, Be Wise, and Be Kind—were compiled specifically for junior Tibetan readers. We hope these books will enhance their character, foster a love for humanity, and deepen their appreciation for Tibetan culture.
