His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Books for young readers
On October 21, our director and general editor hosted a special book opening ceremony to introduce our latest translations for children at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2023. Our chief guest was Bei Ling. He is a Chinese poet and a journal editor. Mrs Bei Ling founded the Independent Chinese PEN Center together with Liu Xiaobo. The event featured the launch of several heartwarming and inspiring books, namely:
- Heart to Heart by His Holiness the Dalai Lama: This book aims to nurture emotional intelligence and empathy in young readers through engaging stories and illustrations that highlight the importance of kindness and understanding in protecting our environment.
- The Little Book of Joy by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu: A delightful book designed to help children discover and appreciate the small joys in life. It encourages young readers to cultivate a positive outlook and find happiness in simple pleasures.
- Big Panda and Tiny Dragon: A beautifully illustrated book that follows the adventures of two unlikely friends, Big Panda and Tiny Dragon. Their journey teaches valuable life lessons about friendship, resilience, and the beauty of the natural world.
These publications were unveiled in the presence of an enthusiastic audience, reflecting our commitment to providing high-quality, meaningful literature for children. The books aim to instill values of compassion, joy, and friendship, nurturing the next generation’s minds and hearts.
